HET EVENT

Samen met IDFA  Meets organiseert Art Collective For Peace een middag waarin we protest onderzoeken. Niet alleen als daad van verzet, maar ook als vorm van verbondenheid. 

In een tijd waarin het demonstratierecht steeds vaker onder druk staat, zoeken we naar de kracht én kwetsbaarheid van publieke actie. Wat drijft mensen de straat op? Wanneer is protest effectief? En wat verandert er - aan de wereld, of aan jezelf?

Verwacht een middag vol film, kunst, gesprek en gedeelde reflectie. Over risico en solidariteit, over macht en beweging, over gehoord worden en laten horen. Vanuit Art Collective For Peace zullen verschillende mogelijkheden gefaciliteerd worden om geld op te halen voor goede doelen.  


WAT ZOEKEN WE?

Kunst die aansluit bij het thema protest, verzet, demonstratie. Zie de handout voor enkele richtlijnen en uitleg over de expositie. We faciliteren graag en zijn ruimdenkend, maar probeer je te richten op de aangegeven richtlijnen, waaronder :

  • Bij voorkeur aan een paneel te bevestigen (max 100×150 cm)

  • Het publiek uitnodigt tot dialoog en meer inzicht in protest


HOE WERKT HET?

We vragen je zo snel mogelijk een eerste idee te delen, het liefste bevestigen we jouw deelname vóór 1 augustus. Dit mag een concept zijn of reeds jouw complete voorstel voor de expositie. Indien er te veel aanmeldingen zijn zullen we zorgvuldig en weloverwogen een selectie moeten maken. Op 22 augustus sluiten we de inzendingen en in de dagen erna zullen we het artiestenprogramma bekendmaken. We berichten iedereen die zich aangemeld heeft.

Dus, heb jij een werk of wil je een werk maken in het thema protest voor de expo van IDFA meets ACFP? Stuur vóór 1 augustus jouw idee en vóór 22 augustus jouw volledige inzending naar artists.artcollectiveforpeace@gmail.com.

Als je geselecteerd bent, komt jouw werk te hangen op de expositie om geld op te halen voor het goede doel op zondag 14 september in het Documentaire Paviljoen in het Vondelpark bij IDFA meets Art Collective For Peace..

THE EVENT

Together with IDFA Meets, Art Collective For Peace is organizing an afternoon devoted to exploring protest - not only as an act of resistance, but also as a form of solidarity.

In a time where the right to protest is increasingly under pressure, we seek the strength and vulnerability of public action. What drives people to take to the streets? When is protest effective? And what does it change - in the world, or in yourself?

Expect an afternoon filled with film, art, conversation, and shared reflection. On risk and solidarity, on power and movement, on being heard — and making yourself heard. From within Art Collective For Peace, we will facilitate several opportunities to raise funds for charitable causes.


THE OPEN CALL - WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Art that resonates with the theme of protest, resistance, demonstration. See the handout for guidelines and details about the exhibition. We are open-minded and happy to support your vision, but please try to align with the provided criteria, including:

  • Preferably mountable on a panel (max. 100×150 cm)

  • Invites the public into dialogue and deeper understanding of protest


HOW DOES IT WORK?

We ask you to share your initial idea as soon as possible. Ideally, we confirm participation before August 1. This can be either a concept or a completed proposal for the exhibition. If we receive more submissions than we can accommodate, we will make a careful and thoughtful selection. 

Submissions close on August 22, and in the days that follow, we will announce the final artist lineup. Everyone who applies will receive a response.

AFTER AUGUST 22

If selected, your work will be part of the exhibition on Sunday, September 14 at the Documentary Pavilion in Vondelpark at IDFA meets Art Collective For Peace, where we will raise funds for charity.
