Shanita is keramist, modeontwerper en stylist voor artiesten en muzikanten. Ze werkte jarenlang in Stockholm en Parijs voor onder meer Acne Studios en is nu gevestigd in Amsterdam. Het werken met klei biedt haar nieuwe ruimte voor experiment en een meer intuïtieve manier van creëren, terwijl haar modeachtergrond doorklinkt in haar werk.
Punkers is een serie van drie keramische vazen die een ode brengt aan de Britse punkbeweging van de jaren ’70 en ’80, een cultureel protest tegen de gevestigde orde. Met hun hanenkammen, piercings en gekleurd haar belichamen Johnny, Vivienne en Siouxsie de rebelse geest.

Shanita is a ceramicist, fashion designer, and stylist for artists and musicians. She worked for many years in Stockholm and Paris, including at Acne Studios, and is now based in Amsterdam. Working with clay offers her new space for experimentation and a more intuitive way of creating, while her background in fashion continues to resonate through her work.
Punkers is a series of three ceramic vases paying homage to the British punk movement of the 1970s and 1980s, a cultural protest against the establishment. With their mohawks, piercings, and dyed hair, Johnny, Vivienne, and Siouxsie embody the rebellious spirit.
